We may take radiographic images (X-rays) of your teeth to aid diagnosis and treatment planning. We also utilise an intra-oral digital camera to take pictures of your teeth so we can have a closer look at the edges of fillings, show you the areas you have been missing when brushing or where there are signs of tooth wear or other findings that require regular monitoring or further investigations.
During your initial appointment we will show you these pictures and radiographs. We will then discuss what we found and advise you, if any other tests or investigations are necessary such as impressions of your teeth, panoramic radiographs, or other images or scans.
Once all the information has been gathered, we will sit down with you and discuss the different options available. We aim to provide you with professional advice and give you all the information you require to make an informed choice regarding your planned dental treatment.
In most cases, there is more than one treatment option available. We aim to help you make decisions that reflect your dental and cosmetic needs in appreciation of both the short and long-term financial implications.
